We checked into the hospital shortly after 11, and Andrew was born less than 4 hours later. The labor -- which was going to be induced -- happened so fast that our doctor couldn’t make it in time. The whole process happened so fast, and Andrew has been such a strong spirit.

 

It took a few hours to find a name; his birth was so sublime and his character so strong that we couldn’t find a name with enough emotion to contain what we were feeling.
